I can never be bothered remembering which converter does FTP, but there isn't much to it so I'll do it myself.

Effective stacks $25.
Hero is BB with 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif
Villain is UTG at about 20/10 over 50 or so hands and raises to 0.85.

Folds to hero, who raises to $2.65.
Villain instapushes.

Do you cash game monkeys ever not have AK there?

edit: oh, and I've been like 22/15, 3betting a bit but no confrontations with villan.

I doubt this is AK, this smells more like QQ+. Fold

Yeah, sorry, I didn't ask my question very well. This is pretty much a fold every time without a very good read. But in general, is this ever anything but AK? Am I being too weak by not taking a tiny advantage? You answered that anyway, so thankyou.

I've never seen a TAG with 100BB+ UTG be willing to put his whole stack in jeporady against someone with 100BB preflop.
TAG against someone with <40BB now that's a different story.

Ok I just worked out what I want to ask.
Hero + villain have 100BB stacks.

Hero is BB with two cards.
Villain is UTG and raises to about 3.5 BB. Folds to hero who reraises to about 11BB. Villain pushes. What is hero's range for calling?

If UTG is TAG then I need KK+, if both stacks are 150BB+ then AA. Although painful I've laid KK down preflop a couple of times before.

If UTG is Laggy I may drop it down to JJ+.

It's all read dependant.

I thikn you need a very very accurate and good read to call those pushes.

Doubt he has AK. Your either flipping or dominated. I would fold. I would also call PF alot here.

lol .... i been in this situation quite a few times lately when villain has q4o and a8o ...

ive also been in it when he has AA ... but a lot of the time he could have accidently pushed all in ... it depends on the site and how easy it is to accidently do it.

Why'd u r/r with 99? ur BB so take the discount and flop a set. I don't think you have any FE with that preflop raise against a 25er. This isn't a tourney so try to play poker after the flop.

*chuckles* I love it...
if someone 3-bets preflop, WHY'D YOU 3-BET?
if someone calls preflop, WHY DIDN'T YOU 3-BET?
