Not sure what I should be doing with AJs UTG+1 here. Feels like preflop I should sometimes raise/sometimes fold. Guy is an unknown, how would you play this hand? If he's a 15/10/3, whats your play on the turn? Ditto for 30/20/4.

Fold river?! Call down? I dunno...

Without knowing him, I probably fold preflop. If he's LAG, then maybe reraise? I'm not sure either. Postflop, I'm pretty sure you should not be calling down - raising or folding have got to be better choices.

Preflop: I fold this preflop with no read. (AJs is one of those hands where i want to be in charge, not calling)

Flop/Turn/River: I don't mind you calling him down, because a raise gets worse hands to fold and better hands to stay (i would think).

Eh I don't mind cold calling pf vs a LAG w/ position pf. Against a TAG yeah I dump it. So making it to the flop against a LAG: I just let him bet it all the way because that's what Lag's do, they love to try to bluff people. THe board turned out great for your hand so just call down. Raising flop or turn gets villain to fold worse hands that would've bet again and raise hands that beat yours. I think you played the hand perfectly if this was against a LAG.

gunna bump once. Be good to know peoples calling range against an UTG raiser.

"Become the driver and not the passenger and these hands play easier!"

Reraise or fold preflop.

Just about any hand that's not dominated.
AJ is KILLED by AQ and AK..both very logical raising hands.

I'd rather you called with 87s there then AJ.

It might be a good idea to raise the flop, since it looks like he missed it and It would also tell you where you stand. For the most part, I feel rather murky through the hand. If he really keeps going at it, you could drop it. I prefer to lose $2 on the flop since the later streets would probaly be more expensive.

Archon:

I don't like this raise the flop to "see where I'm at". Your bluffing with that bet, both you and I know it. He's not folding anything worse than our hand (ok, MAYBE AJo). If he's got missed overs he should slow down on the turn. IF AJs has showdown value here, I should try not to play it as a bluff (since I get some +EV from not bluffing with it).....

I think due to my relative position to UTG this should be an easy fold here, and I should be folding most hands in this situation. I don't like calling with 87s etc. because it sets up squeeze plays.

I see; I suppose TPTK should not be played for big pots.

I think that while TPTK is a great hand to play a big pot, here, better hands call, and worse hands fold.

What hand is calling when you make a real raise here that we beat? TT maybe?
