6Max NL25 Comments on pushed Flush draw

I am at work so I dont have the HH. Villan was a 28/19/5.50/100 $29.00 stack or so at the time the hand happened. I cover.

I raise it .85 (been a standard) with KsJs.
Button reraises to 2.25, I call.

Flop: Jh5s9s

I lead 2.00, he raises to 6.00, I push for $35.00 more.

Villan tanks.

Was this a good play?

Its amazing how everyone always mentions changing the preflop raises. I am raising a ton of hands, and .85 is working and it encourages action. And yes I add a BB per limper after that. I raise this way regardless of the hand and regardless of the position. I like to play postflop, and am not trying to just win the hand preflop.


Do you think the .15 really mattered in this hand?

Is calling a large re-raise with KJs oop a good idea? I like your flop play, but I don't think your FE is very high, because he most likely has an overpair or AJ. That said, I still do the same thing.

Will people fold overpairs for just over a full buyin at NL25...I guess thats the biggest question?

And I definately dont call that reraise very often but at that point I felt like he might of been making a play using the button.

I don't think most villains do. I myself have a hard time, especially on the flop (I am getting better). I doubt your average villain does though. With that said, I think you have probably 14 outs (unless he has AJ or KK or a set) and that the push is still good.
