Some might not like the turn check, and that's fair enough but what do you do here?

Villain is 16/11/6 over 43 hands and seems a decent TAG.

BB ($26.45)
UTG ($27.05)
MP1 ($105.60)
MP2 ($7.90)
CO ($37.75)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif.

Well - as you said yourself.. I dont like the Turn check. Lead turn.

As played I would shove over his turn bet. He only has 10$ left. AJ or AQ are very likely here.

Your check on the turn basically tells your opponent you missed the flop and/or are scared of the Q on the turn. A good opportunity for him to bluff. I'd just call this and check/call a safe river.

But I would bet out on this turn myself.

Edit: I missed the small stack of villain. Just put him all-in on the turn.

Not often enough to matter with the size of his stack. JJ, I think, would raise on flop since you showed strength with your bet. QQ, maybe.. but then again, it's cheap enough for you to find out.

I folded because I had it in my mind that someone with those stats is only calling a raise pf with TT+,AK,AQ and so i thought JJ/QQ was pretty likely.

But having thought about it I realise how terrible that was and I should have just open shoved the flop with those stack sizes.

Bet turn. Call if he shoves. If he just calls(which would be idiotic) shove it on river.
Or as played here, shove on the turn.

I think you flop play was good. No reason to overbet the pot here.

I c/r turn AI, stackadonk line and because this is a reraised pot.
Like you say wake_up, the only concern is what hands he calls a reraise with if he's a tight TAG , you only beat TT, AK,AQ, typical patsy overpairs to the board QQ, JJ would hold a set now.
You did check the turn so he could be betting with anything if he likes to call reraises and float the flop.

I still c/r turn AI here alot.
