I'm used to playing limit holdem, and have a pretty good BR for .50/1 limit (500 something bucks). How much money should I have if I want to 4-table 25 max and 50 max NL tables?

Affirmative, this is off course to reduce variance, you can start playing as soon as you got 1 buy in though. But suppose you got $200 and you start multi tabling $50nl tables, then it is possible you can lose your entire roll on 4 tables...

read the FAQ
number of tables shouldnt really effect how much bankroll you need. and if you are competent 20 buyins for 25 and 50nl will be plenty.

If You switch from Limit Holdem to NL without any experience and You start immidiatly 4-tabling at $25 or $50, I would assume that there is NO sufficient bankroll for You. You will loose Your entire roll most of the time!

I strongly reccoment to start at $10, maybe 2 tabling to get some experience and as soon as You find out that You are a constantly winning player, You can move up.

But I bet that You will loose lots of Your money, no matter what kind of bankroll You start with, if You have no NL experience.

This is pretty sound advice.

I went from MTT/SNG to cash and it took me about 2K hands to start to feel really at home and comfy. I started out at NL10.

Some of us like to play (for psycho comfort I guess) pretty overrolled - others don't care.

The technical answer to this question is probably min 15 - 20 bi. But this is so dependant on

* how good you are at pokah
* how retarded opposition you manage to dig up
* how bad you are running

People report 10 bi swings regularly. My personal most horrid one was 8bi at NL10.

Have at least 15 and take shots.
