I'd appreciate a line-check on each of these hands if y'all don't mind. Anything you would have done differently?

I don't have reads on either opponent as I've only been at the table for a few hands... The second hand, it seems like villain has been playing a lot of pots, but sample size is so small it may not matter.

I am also wondering about this one (didn't want to start a new thread for the same type of question):

Hand 3) (again, no reads because I just sat down at the table):

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP1 ($22.40)
MP2 ($11.75)
MP3 ($23)
CO ($40.40)
Button ($23.55)
SB ($26.95)
BB ($12.60)
Hero ($23.05)
UTG+1 ($4.40)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/club.gif.
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.25</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP2 calls $1.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $2.5</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $7</font>, MP2 folds, Button calls $4.50.

Flop: ($15.60) 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $10</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $16.55</font>, Hero calls $6.05 (All-In).

Turn: ($48.20) T/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

River: ($48.20) 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $48.20

I'm wondering if I'm too willing to get my entire stack in the midddle, or if I'm just making fundamental mistakes in playing these hands.

Thanks!

Hand 1-
Since you lost I'm going to assume he had Js, Qs or Ks. Nothing you can do. I've probably folded 5 sets in 3 years over lord knows how many years. I wouldnt fold this.

Hand 2-
Same. Looks fine.

Hand #1: I push the turn min-raise.

Hand #2: Same thing

Hand #3: Perfect. Villain could have QQ, TT, or AJ here.

Standard.
raise even more on the flop.

Is it standard to call a 3xBB raise with 89o?

I would most definately have folded that hand.

Hands 1 and 3 are standard imo.

The deeper the stacks -- the better your position and the if you're better then your opponents post flop - 89os becomes a better call.

Wow, I'm pretty surprised at the responses here. I was questioning my play. I'm not used to feeling encouraged on these boards /images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Thanks for all your input.

To the poster who asked about 89o calling 3 BB, I wouldn't say it's "standard", but it's a play I'll make in late position sometimes. If he raised to 4 BB, I'd be a lot more likely to fold. Not to be results oriented, but on that particular hand, I stack him 92% of the time after the flop and I'm rarely going to lose more than 3 BB if I miss. Of course, in this case, he hit and I ended up being stacked, but I guess that's just poker.

Close: T9s. You got the result right, though! /images/graemlins/mad.gif
