Been trying to move to 6-max from full ring, and was wondering, if theres no known fish around, what do you guys look for when selecting a table? What makes a good 6-max table ??

(i've been playing $50 tables at AP (.10/.25 blinds)

Open up a bunch of tables, open up PAHUD, look for the ones with the highest table VPIPs and highest average pot sizes. I also look for ones with lower PFR percentages combined with high VPIPs, since that usually indicates a loose-passive game.

You can, but theres an awful lot of people there buying in for 40-50bbs which means that you are often not actually playing very deep at all.

It depends on your style, if you're a LAG you like to play a bunch of nits, but if you're a TAG look for loose-passive games.

I have noticed that sites with 200BB buy-ins (Doyle's/Absolute) tend to have a lot of shortstacks, which can ruin a table.

I've not really develped a 6-max style yet /images/graemlins/smile.gif but I've been watching the I-Strong videos and trying to copy his type of play.

but yeah, the 200bb buyins are kind of wasted when the rest of the table are sitting with 40bb ;-(

Anybody know how avg pot is calculated in pahud? ie how many hands does it tacke into account? every hand you've observed at the table, only the last ten? I've looked for an exact definition on pahud and pt sites but have come up empty.

In the preferences tab, General tree there is a box to set the number for averages.
