Block the river for $8. I think a naked 8 pops you on the turn, so you can safely fold if he wakes up on this river. Your hand has some showdown value, so set a reasonable price and hope he takes it.

but he has $15 left in his stack.

bet $8 and not call seven more?

bet fold, wait how much does he have left on the river? if it's less than what you'd bet fold with, then i might check call it.

check/call/breaksomething is my standard here.

I think with a flush he would push his remaining stack and you'll have to fold, and if he is bluffy type he would do that with 2nd best hands like Trip 8's or even a draw. I think blocking river for even 7 is fine, and fold to push, if he has a 2nd best hand he's gonna call and not raise.

And that saves you 8 dollars, and 8 dollars saved is 8 dollars earned.

i just sat down at the table, so no reads

without reads, what weight (%) of a range would u give to a flush draw here? is this ever top pair?
