CrustyFace?

The read i had on this guy was that he was loose aggressive, i didn't figure him for having hit the board, but i certainly figure him to call my raise with what he had.

Fold. And learn to get over the idea that everyone is always bluffing you.

Is that a statement based solely on this post, or my other recent ones too?

Based soley on this post (I think). But I also recognize a bit of my past self in your post. If my read on you is right, I know this is a leak for you.

Do you think had i not checked on the turn that i could have taken this down?

Do you think the check on the turn was the wrong play?

I personally like this turn card so I fire again. Although I dont play stakes this high so I think I get away with it. What likely hands would reraise PF that contain a J? No good player is going to give you credit for JJ or a J here i guess. At my game of $10NL 6max I 2nd barrel this all day.

I specifically didn't address the turn in my original response because I think it's close. The J isn't much of a scare card, so it doesn't carry much additional FE. On the other hand the opponent will be hard pressed to call another bet unless they have a Jack. It comes down to reads. You need to know whether or not this opponent needs a second barrel. Only observation of his playstyle will tell you this.

One more thing...

In no-limit 'winning' individual bets & calls is more important than winning pots. This might sound antithetical or even academic, but it's not. It really doesn't matter if you win this pot or that pot. What matters is that you place & call the right bets for the right reasons. That is, don't bet the turn in order to win the pot. That's not the right reason. If you make the right bets for the right reasons, you'll win the pots.

He called the cbet, so I would just dump it without specific reads.

OMG SNAPCALL.

He is bluffing with some random clubs here >25% of the time, or has some garbage AT type hand...jesus. They still do this at 200NL

He was holding 33. I believe that in this case my Check on the turn told him i had only high-card.
