Reads: Passive player, called down bets w/ QQ on underboard till river, checked river (I checked behind w/ JJ /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Has not appeared to get out of line. A raise seems to only fold hands I beat (weaker Aces, KK-TT besides QQ), but the Q will obviously call. Well, I would be so shortstacked they would be forced to call if i pushed?

I think I just call here, even though I feel you're winning. A reraise probably won't get called by worse hands like you said.

Why would you raise the river when your turn logic is that you fold out worse hands and get called by better hands?

Couldn't have said it better......hopefully the check induced the bluff you wanted him to make and if he happens to have a Q then you got a cheap showdown.

also keep in mind a lot of times his river bet is trip queens that missed their checkraise, which means you definitely shouldn't raise this river

This looks more like pot control than a place for a valuebet.
