Call, especially in position. Fold if turn is scary or maybe if he pots a blank. I think this is 66 or 56 or something draw-y fairly often.

Agreed. Call and reevaluate.

To elaborate: 3-betting sucks unless you're up against a total donk who will stack off with A6/77/88 here. Lots of scare cards may come on the turn, but they might also slow your opponent down, giving you a cheap showdown.

But you know this. Good luck regaining confidence.

probably a call, how has the villian been playing after the flop, have you seen him checkraise before? if hes been checkraising light then this could even be a 3-bet especially if he will stack off with 6s etc

Seriously though, this smells alot like a set/straight. Call the $2 and give up on the turn if he bets unless you hit your 2-outer.
