Only been at the table 1 orbit, so no substantive reads. Am I spazzing here or is this decent?

Mod, your HH appears to be a little effed up. Or, you played on Halloween and there was a ghost at the table.

sans reads:

bet less on turn, check the river

if the guy is a lobodomy patient, turn is fine, but I'd still check the river, and let him try to bluff a busted heart draw if he has it.

Thanks, boz, not sure what happened with this.

Everyone after CO folded preflop, so he and I were HU on the flop here.

RGW is right. The turn is meh, but the river is a definite check. What are you hoping to accomplish?

You mind explaining your reasoning some here, Rev?

Value betting, I dunno. This is why I suck at NL.

Basically, I think I get popped on the turn by 6x.

When he calls I assume he's either a donk with and FD or SD, or he's got Jx, or he's slowrolling me with a monster.

I felt pretty lost here.

He might fold a weak J to a turn PSB, but he's definitely peeling/raising with 6x, and calling probably with draws

betting out the river allows him to fold his draws, and probably another last chance to fold a weak J.

Just check to him, and either he "value bets" a weak J, or does a desperation bluff with 87/2 /images/graemlins/heart.gif's

EDIT - quick note, calls (especially of PSBs) are actually a signal of strength in NL (assuming he's not dumb of course /images/graemlins/tongue.gif)
