Omni and Sands of the Carribean have changed there monthly bonus's WR's. They both now have a $100 match bonus with a WR of 25x when playing Video Poker etc, and a $100 match with a WR of 50x when playing Blacjack, Pontoon etc. Obviously the EV is greater playing Video Poker, but variance is far higher.

What does everyone think the best way to play these two is?, now that the WR are down to a reasonable rate?

Is the chance of busting out at Blackjack playing at the minimum $3 greater than the risk playing 5 coins at $0.25 on JOB poker?

Thoughts?

You mean these two casinos... lowered their WR? That's a first.

do you get the bonus up front or still no?

Not got round to doing them yet, but the terms read match deposit bonus so i assume you get them straight away to play with

How is the EV better for VP?

Pontoon at 0.38 HA is still an $81 EV.

Single deck BJ anyone?

Omni sent me an email threatening to ban me this month if my evil whoring ways continued...so I'm not sure if that means I'll be banned before or after getting the bonus this month.

anyone confirm it's up front? may be worth the investment to try and show a profit this month, down 190 today ffs.

i scored big on sands and omni signup, but never hit their monthly on account of large wr and crediting post-play.

but up front with relaxed conditions sounds delicious. a lil more pontoon anyone? hurt me good!

Did the first time deposit playing BJ and withdrew close to just over the WR. Forgot about the next month and the month after that I cleared the monthly WR of 8k for BJ. Withdrew after about $8060 wagered and got the email the next day.

I wonder about doing the lower wr and doing casino war instead, i'm sure it's much faster then job and easier.

Same here. What is the EV for Casino War at the 25X WR? I don't have the patience to play BJ or Pontoon at 50X without autoplay. At least at Casino War I can auto-click. I'll take the hit in EV.

I see about 10 threads a day of people asking how to calculate your expected loss so heres how to work it out, Get the odd's here:

http://wizardofodds.com/gambling/houseadv.html

Waging Requirement * House Edge = Expected loss

or if you can change your bet size/split/double etc.. its

Waging requirement * element of risk = expected loss

For casino war: 2500 WR * 0.0268 = expected loss of 67

For blackjack: 5000 WR * 0.0038 = expected loss of 19

Assumed atlantic city rules for BJ & always to war when playing casino war.

Sands of the Caribean's website states:

Upon receiving this bonus, you will be able to withdraw your deposit (up to the matched amount), the bonus, and/or any winnings therein only after having wagered 80X the bonus amount you receive. For example, if you deposit $100 and receive a $100 bonus, you will be able to withdraw after wagering $8000 in applicable games.

So did they change it back? I tried the code on casinobonuspages and it didn't work either.

Mine was worse. I was wagering well over $8000 and not withdrawing from month to month. I got e-mails telling me to "stop wagering only the previous months' bonuses to earn this month's bonus." WTF? My balance would fluctuate hundreds of dollars over the course of $10,000 of betting, and they would continue accuse me of bull**** things, month after month. They never deprived me of a bonus, but after about the third BS warning I decided that $100 wasn't worth close to 100x WR on a backloaded bonus I might be denied randomly one month.
