Hand #1

Villain in this hand is 16/6/1.75:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($36.40)
Hero ($40.45)
UTG ($20.65)
MP ($28.85)
Button ($22.20)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/club.gif.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $1</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $3</font>, Button calls $2.

Flop: ($6.10) Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $3.5</font>, Button calls $3.50.

Should I bet $4.50 here? I didn't think $1 should make much of a difference. I don't think he's capable of floating.

Turn: ($13.10) 8/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets $7</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $20.10

I feel that I played it fine and I have to give up on the turn right?

Hand #2

Villian in this hand is 18/9/2.33:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($25.10)
Hero ($30.10)
UTG ($22.80)
MP ($17.40)
CO ($29.60)
Button ($20.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($0.75) 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif, 6/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $0.75</font>, Hero calls $0.75, UTG calls $0.75.

I've started to give up on these OESDs especially with a potential FD on board. I decided to call because I felt like villain was betting a made hand and I may be able to get some implied odds.
Turn: ($3) 5/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $2</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $5</font>, UTG folds, SB calls $3.

I probably should have just smooth called here but I wanted to see if I was up against a flush or not.

River: ($13) K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $5</font>, SB calls $5.

Final Pot: $23

1st hand is really read dependant, if you don't think he's capable of floating then he either has a queen or can beat a pair of queens right? I'd continue accordingly.

On the second hand I think your thought process is correct but then you didn't follow it. You bet to see if you are up against the flush. Just because he doesn't raise you here doesn't mean he doesn't have a flush. I think his call is a sign of strength. He either has the nut flush and is waiting to raise a river bet or he has a flush lower than the nuts and is willing to show it down.. You were betting the whole way so he thinks you have a piece of the board or an overpair...

Hand #1

PF reraise to $4.

As played, bet $4.50 on the flop, w/ your read folding turn is fine.

Hand #2

I misread hand #2 the first time I read it.

As played check behind the river.
