How standard spot is this? Villain is 37/14/1 with 22 went to showdown, 60% won at showdown. I'm fairly certain he doesn't have a Q in this spot, is it better to flat out valuebet or check and hope to induce a bluff.

What hands will call your river bet that you beat?

I would think checking to induce would be >EV.

I like your play, I just may have bet $6 here that's all.

He's going to check behind most of the time. AF of 1...

When we check the turn any pair may look you up when we bet the river thinking missed AK. After all, that is what they always put us on. I would bet a little closer to 1/2 pot.

In my (admittedly limited) experience, after the turn check-behind I see guys bluff here more often than they call with worse hands. I think I agree with the river check.

BTW, does anyone else 3-ball it pf?

I don't 3bet JJ oop with a raiser and a cold-call. You hate getting called by the raiser 'cause in most cases an overcard flops and you still have to c-bet it, which will cost you alot when they hit their TPTK.

I'd much rather 3bet AK to try and take it down. If that's called we have a much more profitable c-bet on our hands.

JJ i play for set/overpair value oop. 3bet for sure if I'm in pos (with the right reads)

I don't generally 3-bet from BB. I might from position some of the time though. ;] Afterall, it's an UTG raise.

Read this thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=mlplnl&Number=7833218&pag e=1&fpart=all), especially the second to last paragraph. I definitely 3-bet preflop.

without a v large sample, i would ignore any stats except pfr and vpip.

river is meh. I'm not so sure OOP i like this line. What about call flop bet 1/2-2/3 pot on turn? What do you do if villain bets turn - fold?

3bet this all day against a 37/14. Don't worry about the cold caller, he doesn't have a big hand. You are in a good spot if UTG folds and SB calls the reraise, esp. if SB is bad postflop. I would check the river, probably the worst hand he's calling with here is TT, maybe a 9.

I 3-bet this from BB all day, I would rather just call in position, but I usually 3-bet JJ pf from any position. It's a strong hand but very vulnerable also. I think c/c gets the most value from whiffed broadway cards and smaller pp.
