View Full Version : Discretion on getting it AI w/ bottom two?

Up front - I lost the hand. I also don't really think this is a cooler, I think I played ignorantly. I am more interested how you get away from a pot like this (is it even profitable to get away? prolly not) I typically end up shoving w/ two pair on the flop, even bottom two on dangerous boards as seen here.

In retrospect, I subconciously threw the money in w/o really thinking. Everyone limped, perfect scenario for Ace-small donk to call, or a pocket pair. No stats, only read is that he folded to a 2nd barrel once on a dry board, not really a read i guess.

Heres my problem - I have to call this bet no matter what. If the turn blanks, I lead out for a PSB anyways, which basically gets us AI. So I'm going down no matter what?

Is that a cooler as you call it? Or am I being results oriented? It just appears that this scenario exists to get away from.

dont b so hard on ur self dude. i think u get called here with Ax, flush draws, straight draws, and combo draws to make this play good. u dont wanna c a turn really with such a volnerable hand thus a push is fine imo.

amusingly he had 44 - we had ALL the 4s out there! which of course means I am basically drawing dead.
