Really kind of lost here, I like my hand and I like my draw...I dont like the reraise from MP1 bc I have no clue as to what he could have and dont know what BB is going to do (just won a big pot from him at another table so he may be steaming)otherewise no real reads, MP1 just has a couple hands at the table.

How are you proceeding from here? Should I welcome playing a big pot here or dread it?

How confident are you that BB will reopen the betting?

I would probably fold here. You will rarely get paid if you hit, you don't close the action, and your hand isn't really that great.

He raised pf and is now raising a weak flop lead, he frequently has an overpair here. I think if you are going to continue here you must push. I doubt you have much FE but him folding is definitely better than calling with his likely range of calling hands. However, if he has JJ-AA (most likely IMO), two pair, or A9 I think we should be fine with the play of putting lots of pressure on him here, expecting to have at least *some* FE and since we're only about a 60-40 dog against those hands and there is some dead money in the pot anyway it's all good as long as we are well bankrolled.
The worst hands villain can have (discounting the made straight as most people don't raise 58/T8 in mid posish) are TT or a set (interestingly he might fold TT to our push tho). Hope he didn't have one of those. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

*Edit to add* An interesting possibility is BB having the set...if he has 666 or 777 we in slightly better shape but I should stress that I think regardless pushing here is probably marginal and read-dependent and I don't play full ring either so, take that FWIW. However I make this play sometimes because it's close and I don't mind making marginal plays sometimes for metagame purposes.

blah this situation seems to come up so often, i fold here, so many of the times it just ends up you either have the worst of it or your draw isnt even good or you just end up splitting if youre lucky against 89 or something

Good point. A combo draw I kind of discounted but that's definitely an unpleasant possibility. And we are in really bad shape against 89, and T9 ain't too cool either. Yeah the more I think about it this should probably be a fold most of the time. I'd still felt it if I had a reads that they were bad though. Love to get ai against 78 here once in a while.
