The river was a very thin value bet. I thought I might get a hand like two pair or a set to call. It kinda also acted like a blocking bet against other straights and maybe small flushes. Is check/calling better here? I'm not sure if the villian would call or bet more hands.
------------
This hand is on the same table as my previous hand.
Villian seems compentent. I haven't seen anything outta of hand, although I think he chases draws getting incorrect odds. He probably beats 25nl. He runs at 32/12/2 over 60 hands.

Is the river bet too big? I was thinking a smaller bet looks more like a value bet, and a bigger bet looks more like a bluff. I thought that maybe using a bit of time on the river might induce a call. I do feel however, I must bet the river, for he probably checks behind wayyyyyyyy too often. I'm thinking that he probably calls with two pair and better, but I'm not really sure. I've seen him get to showdown 6 times in 60+ hands, and he's won 4 outta the 6. My individual recollection of these hands is pretty marginal. I don't remember much other then he hasn't gotten invovled in any 100+bb hands since I've been here.

Opinions on how I played these hands?

H1: no reason to lead the flop the rest is ok although c/c lets a big spade bluff

H2: I like the flop smoothcall with stacks and being OOP, i would usually fold preflop though. c/c turn is fine, and so is the river bet, something slightly smaller like 17 might get called more often, but this is fine.
