"meh" I guess. Cardinal sin not raising PF? Limper was a chronic one - I thought I might obtain more value sleeping on this from the blinds rather than taking on the loose guy w/ a whiff post. I might have missed a bet on the River...in hindsight I'm not sure how often 2nd pair continues to the Flop raise & Turn lead. He had been pretty quiet to this point (lessor Queen probably more likely).

(Ps. Remember, I'm a noob here...help with simple raise/lead sizes are appreciated as well /images/graemlins/wink.gif)

Preflop, I'd raise to $2.50. It's limped to you and AQs is pretty strong in 6-max. As played, I think you did miss a value bet on the river. Villain completed in the SB, so he could easily have a weaker queen here.

Don't show the river action and you'll get better responses.

I like to raise this preflop. 4BB+1BB per limper is goot.

As you checked this preflop (dough!! /images/graemlins/tongue.gif) I think you can raise the flop here. Turn bet is good too to punish draws and to check behind on river if you don't improve, which gets you to a cheap showdown with a medicore hand as you have here. Therefore the check on river is good.

This hand plays completely different if you raise preflop.

bf,

You should be raising here 4xbb +1xbb for each limper. So that makes your raise 2.5 here.

On the flop, if you raised, bet btwn 3/4-pot, depending on what you like.
Turn and river depend more, but those first 2 are pretty standard steps.

As played PF, the rest of the hand is fine.

Looks fine except not raising preflop.

I agree with all of the raise PF comments, and otherwise I'd play it the same.

There are a lot of hands that you'll find, when moving from SNGs to the ring, you'll probably want to be raising that you're used to limping. The biggest example is small to medium pocket pairs. With those hands, raising PF generally makes it much easier to get stacks in by the river when you hit your set without having to make gross overbets.

Cool, thanks.

Had MP brought this in 3x himself, what range would you need to re-pop him PF OOP?
