Pokerstars .10/.25 NL
Effective stacks $25.

Hero is BB with 10,9o

Button raises to 1. Hero calls (ewww i know)

flop 227, with 2 hearts.

Hero checks. Button bets 1.5. Hero raises to $8.

I was trying to rep a 2. Do u think this folds ak,aq, aj and some medium pairs enough to do this?

This is so ugly on so many levels. Don't bluff, don't call preflop and definitely do not try to represent the deuce. Seriously - first off, he might put you on FD. Secondly, he probably figures you WOULD NOT call a raise with any hand that has a deuce in it. He MIGHT fold AQ-, AK these guys never fold at NL25 - you should have more info on the villain anyway. And the board is bad because you won't get 88+ to fold, perhaps not 66- either.

Raising ranges on that level are very small generally. You didn't mention if this was 6-max to begin with. With no reads, just fold pf or cf flop.

this is bad on many levels, but if you feel like you need to bluff at this pot, dont overbet so huge... a smaller bet works the same way...

at 25nl, there is absolutely no point in doing this.

You guys are crazy, he got Villian to lay down AA with his strong repping of the "2".

And betting 8 doesn't make him fold any more than if you bet 6.

Horrible play, even worse at full ring. Making a pot sized bet on the flop isn't bad since non paired high cards will probably fold. If you think you're bluffing off someone with an over pair you got another thing coming, mainly BUSTO.

How does the saying go? Never bluff someone off an overpair.
