I'm done checking my set in first position on the flop. Done.

But beyond that, do you raise the river? I did so, and got LOLed by two people in my room. I thought I was against two made flushes which seemed more likely to me then a guy hanging around with a Q. Is it a horrible play?

Omg spew. No-one is going nutso with a flush on a 2pair board. Only thing that might do this that you're still ahead of is a 5.

Ya, my middle name is becoming river spew. I need to tighten up my game for sure.

Bet the flop unless you are 95% certain that the flop will be betted by someone behind you (ie. LAG).

I don't think I'm checking this flop in a 5-way pot. Too likely that you've got a player in there with something worth a call that we beat, and giving a free card here sucks. If you were thinking c/r, I don't think this is the place to do it. Too many possible hands are looking for a free card or a cheap showdown here. Don't let them have it. This is the kind of flop you wanted when you called for set value. Start building a pot now while you're way ahead.

What kind of hand can we beat that smooth calls the turn *and* raises or calls a raise on the river? UTG+1 is likely to have a queen. Maybe we beat CO's flush or underboat here. Raising here turns our boat into a bluff.

Call the raise, close the action and pray that we're good here. As played, I think an argument could actually be made for folding. After the way the flop and turn played out, I think c/c is probably the better play.
