View Full Version : Missing river bluff opportunities?

I have been putting together a decent win rate by taking big pots with made hands, and pressuring with position and half to pot-sized CBs and two-barrel bluffs. But sometimes I feel like I might be missing opportunities to bluff big on the river. Or maybe the fact that I can't pull the trigger is why I am doing pretty well. What do you think?

Here are three hands where I considered all in bluffs on the river. No great reads on the villians, none stuck out as overly aggressive or weak.

The following hand is a little different, I hesitate putting the villian all in (only about $2.50), because I think its a guaranteed call with the size of the pot, so I might just be throwing away money.

Hand 1: just call turn bet and fold ui
Hand 2: go ahead and bet the turn.
Hand 3: you can reraise this pf or call. if you're going to raise his very weak flop bet, make it 5-6. and the 6 on the turn is an excellent card for you to fire a second barrel at.

in general you shouldn't bluff too much on the river at 25nl. save your bluffing at this level for semibluffs on earlier streets when you have outs to improve.

Fold 1 and 2. Hand 3 I might sometimes bet 6 and hope he sees it as a value bet.
