I saw this guy call raises with things like 43, earlier however one of the only raises i saw him make was with AJ.

maybe i shouldn't have been in the pot to begin with but i am thinking suitedness, connectedness and position. with this kind of hand i really do prefer two pair or better. the thing is i do like the Jack more than i would have liked the king but in this scenario i am thinking he has a set or has an Ace. I have not seen him check raise and I did see him call an all-in with top pair against a laggish player. i put him on some sort of set.

i think folding is standard this is most likely AJ or a higher PP

Folding is OK here. I don't like you flop bet though. Bet something like 2. It has the same effect for a smaller price.

why are you beting more than the pot? just fold, you haven't invested much at all.

thanks for all your responses fellas. i am still trying to work out what my betting on the flop should be. I am still not sure when to "pot it" and when to go for say two thirds the pot and when to do 1/2 ect...it has just seemed to me that betting about the size of the pot is sort of standard protocol.
