Sorry in advance...no converter this time. (no PT on this computer)

6-handed, Effective stacks are $25, Hero is in BB with KQo

I've been playing something like 17/14 probably, and the table has been pretty laggy. I haven't seen villain do anything weird although he's been fairly aggressive.

Preflop: UTG raises to $1, MP calls, CO calls, Button calls, Hero calls.

Flop Qc6d6c, Pot $4.75: Hero checks, UTG bets $1.75, 3 folds, Hero calls.

Turn 5c, Pot $8.25: Hero checks, UTG bets $3, Hero calls.

River 4s, Pot $14.25: hero checks, UTG bets $14, Hero ?

fold. this is likely a flush. do you think he would make this bet with a worse hand like QJ or something?

As played fold. Why didn't you bet the flop? At least you can find out where you are at without putting any more money in.

This is assuming I call river. I would rather have a lag betting into me rather than fold him out with a lead on a relatively safe flop (obv turn card made flop suck).

My reasoning could be off though. Generally I c/c against lags when flop is safe.

But you said villain was 17/14.

No. I'm the one who is 17/14 lol. Villain is probably like 33/20 or something.

fold. this is pretty much never a flush. do you think he would make this bet with a worse hand like QJ or something?

I agree that folding is a goodish idea and that this is hardly ever a hand that we beat, but you really shouldn't be worried about a backdoor flush here.

Yeah I ended up folding to the river bet.
