I would raise to $13 and see how they react.

I would call.

Raising is pretty meh. The board is drawless. If you raise, your jamming this pot and pretty pc with a relatively weak hand. Why not just call and use position?

Do you have any reads? Has he double barreled before? Is he as laggy as his stats portray?

no reads. only 48 hands on him and havent noticed him yet. although i hadnt paid much attention ot the table. bad cards here + good cards and big pots on other tables led me to not focus as much here

You have to fold it on the turn and give him credit. Your hand's just not strong enough IMO given the action.

If he has not done this before, I think folding is best. Watch him though in the future.

The only problem I have with calling is that if they fire again on the turn we're going to have to let the hand go. We raised pf, and by reraising we're repping a strong hand. I wouldn't have a problem taking it down now either. Is this a bad way to think in these spots?

The problem with a raise is, that you have only few direct outs to improve your hand significantly if called. If we are ahead, then only by a small margin, unless villain is pure bluffing, of course.
Furthermore, a raise has to be big (~ pot sized) to have enough FE, so it's an expensive way to find out whether we're behind or not. So, with a raise we're exposing 1/3 of our stack in to gain information - far too expensive IMO.

Call & re-evaluate. If he comes out firing a big bet again and I haven't seen him done it I probably fold.
