QQ vs weird line by villain [Archive] - Two Plus Two Newer Archives

I have to admit that I might have played this a tad passively, but the last two times I had a big pot with QQ I was vs KK, and the last 3 big pots I have had with KK I was vs AA. So I have unfortunately let that affect my play with big PPs a little.

But comments here? I expected the min raise on the flop to be followed by a big bet on the turn, and so his passivity was a little confusing to me heading into the river. Stats on villain were only over a small sample of hands but weren't out of the ordinary.

Calls. This looks like some sort of ten to me. I don't think a raise has too much value here.

That is a pretty confusing line. I think I would call. You very well could be ahead here though as is it looks like he tried to bluff you off the pot on the flop. When you checked the rest of the way through he probably thought that you either had nothing or the T and were scared of the J so he took another stab at it. Either that or he has the T himself.

Looks like he's got a T. And because of that 4 on the river, we're not concerned with JT anymore so lead the river for value $12 or so.
