Stack sizes:
UTG: $44.15

BB: $9.25

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif K/images/graemlins/heart.gif
UTG calls, 2 folds, Hero raises to $2.25, BB raises all-in $9.25, UTG calls, Hero..?

Wow, I was confused here. Shortstack is your typical ratholer. He had been pushing a few times, didnt get called. UTG seems loose passive preflop, havent see him go past the flop often. What do I do here? And more important maybe, why?

i would call.

he could be pushing a weaker ace / AT-Q. he could have the same hand, and if not he probably has 55-TT. i dont see him pushing with AA or KK

Did you notice UTG limp/ calling the shortstacks allin?

I would push to fold out UTG. You have the best hand here the vast majority of the time, you very likely have BB dominated, and you don't want to let UTG see a flop.

AK vs shorty push = instacall

i didnt notice that. i would actually fold. If you push you are just protecting agianst the all in who probably has a coin flip against you, and the other guy could have you beat. you only have 2 dollars invested and you can pick a better spot i think.

UTG knows you have yet to act and you've made a pretty stong bet (5x). If it had only been 2 or 3, I could see him thinking you're weaker. He's the meat in the sandwich play yet he's calling. He must have a strong hand and you are at best 50/50 and at worst dominated.

I can't see how staying in this hand is a good play, I fold.

UTG is extremely likely to be a total donk here. This is an instashove.

Or he has KK/QQ and wants to see a non ace flop before going on. Thats a good way to find out you are behind fast.

Lol. You have a serious case of monsters under the bed. Maybe if UTG limp reraised. But he has limp-called a shorties all-in. I would be suprised if villain showed you a big hand here.

Overlay of the pot + chance that the villain is a moron with an unpaired hand compensates for the many times he has 66-JJ here. Poooosh.

i think this is a very easy call if UTG hadn't call. now its either a push or fold.

i limp with KK/AA once in a blue moon UTG. what if he limped with KK planning to C/r but had all this action behind him and wanted to keep the hero in?

monsters are scarey!!!!

ZOMG, once in a while we don't have the best hand! Let's just sit around all day and play the nuts! Let me guess - you run at like 10/2/0.5 yeah?

Given UTG's loose passiveness preflop, I would push all in here. You want to push UTG out of the pot and have him in a coin toss or beat very often here. You also haven't seen UTG go past the flop often which suggests that UTG likes to fold. A push all in will get you HU versus BB often here, and that is good.
