Home Gambling Network & Mel Molnick Declare the Passing of the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act Will Create a Financial Windfall for All Legal Gaming Operators in the USA; a HGN Patent License Will Now Be Required for All Operators Utilizing the Molnick Method for Live Gaming

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 18, 2006 -- Home Gambling Network, Inc. ("HGN") and Mel Molnick ("Molnick") are pleased to announce that the passing of the Internet gambling 'ban' is now up to the individual states. Now only the Molnick USA 5,800,268 patent allows any and all electronic financial (ex: credit & debit cards) transactions from a remote location on a live game or event. With the passage of the act any operator who seeks a license from any single state must also apply for a patent license from Home Gambling Network / Mel Molnick.

Quote from the Las Vegas Review Journal October 08, 2006:

"The bill permits Web-based betting on horse racing and for state lotteries. It also allows state-licensed casinos, once authorized within their jurisdiction, to construct Web sites with online poker and casino-style gaming. And these casinos would be allowed to provide links to other states and countries where gambling is legal."

Quote in the same article by Attorney Tony Cabot:

"It really opens up the field. It knocks out the offshore companies, and leaves the legal licensees open to take their positions."

More to follow:

The Patent

The Patent pertains to a business method for remote wagering on live games and events utilizing electronic transactions. The patent was first published in Europe in November 1999 and provides its assignee with full provisional patent protection.

Specifically, via remote wagering, consumers can place bets from anywhere in the world without having to go to an actual wagering entity such as a casino, race track, sports book, or off-track betting parlor. Location-free wagering such as this is delivered to consumers via the Internet, satellite and cable television, and wireless technologies. Live games and events include casino-style games, pari-mutuel wagering, lotteries, sports betting, bingo, keno, and more. Electronic financial transactions are executed by credit card, debit card, smart card, as well as e-cash and any other electronic funds transfer.

like i said before posting the article, i have no idea what any of this means.

seems like this guy thinks that the new bill has a loophole that would allow the states to legalize online gambling and then anyone that would want to do it would have to go through him? no idea.

There are a universe of entrepreneurs (nice word) or hucksters (accuate word) who have patents that they claim cover a variety of ecommerce related transactions. The most famous of these covers "one-click" shopping.

It appears that this guy (I am sure the company doesnt have any real assets) has one that he claims applies to all online gaming transactions.

This is the least of our problems.
