Hey all,

I'm another limit donk trying his hand at NL. You'll probably see me here in the next few months as I gradually lose my bankroll. Having said that, here is my first hand:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO ($33.95)
Button ($16.65)
SB ($41.65)
Hero ($60.30)
UTG ($32.50)
MP ($44.75)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/club.gif.
3 folds, Button calls $0.50, SB raises to $1.5, Hero raises to $4, Button folds, SB raises to $7, Hero calls $3.

Flop: ($14.50) Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $10, SB raises to $20, Hero ???

Final Pot: $44.50

Does the min-raising scare anyone else? Within my first orbit at thet able, Vill is unknown.

My first thought was to call and re-evaluate on the turn. You have position and the min-raise could be a miss.

But then I started thinking and I like a fold here. I'd like to pick a better spot.

Pretty easy fold. You will see this if you ask yourself: What is his range? Given the preflop raise his range is down to: AA-JJ, AKs-AQs, AKo. After the flop raise he probably has: AA or KK or QQ or more unlikely AQs or a stupidly played JJ.

I dunno, seems like the 3bet on the flop kind of tells me I am beat here with that flop. Outside of AK what kind of hand does he reraise pf OOP? Then the guy c/r you commiting himself to the pot? I am very new to NL myself but I think you are beat here most of the time.

The pot is much too big to call. Push or fold IMHO.

If you're calling the re-raise PF and you miss the board c/f on the flop.

His pfr-r indicates AA or KK to me when villain is unknown.

I'm not disagree ing w/ you I'm just playing devils advocate, partly because i'm not sure if this is correct or not. But, If you push, your only getting called by better hands
If you just call w/ position you could get away cheaper(maybe), also you could induce a bluff w/ someone who missed w/ their A,K or sometimes at this limit their 10,10, 9,9

Still, I like a fold here.

I like C-betting after he checks, often you'll take the pot down, although in this case you diden't get so lucky.

Villain is very, very rarely bluffing in this spot.

Spleen and nofutures hit the nail on the head. Fold.

I fold after min-4bet preflop.

If I get to the flop, I check.

As played, fold.

Reraise more preflop. If he than 4-bets me I'm calling for set value and check/folding most flops (call me weak, but villains don't 4-bet often here unless they got AA/KK).
