Yeah, you should either bet more on the turn, or check behind if you think he only calls your flop raise with a better ace (which is pretty friggin unlikely at nl25.) Turn bet should probably be in the $6 range, and if he calls that I check behind on the river if given the chance.

Edit: Uhhg, didn't notice stack sizes. I still don't like your bet size, although now I think you should probably push the turn. It's that or check behind, which I don't like against "most" opponents (although it's a move I make against maniacs on a regular basis, trying to induce the big river bluff, which they usually make.) Checking behind on the turn here does have some appeal to me, but it really is pretty read dependent.

i bet 7.5 on turn. dont want to give him perfect odds to hit. i doubt he has you beat on the turn.

Bet the turn harder for value. His small bets usually indicate a draw. I would probably just call the river as played, mainly because the most obvious draw got there. But my standard is to bet $7+ on that turn.

More on turn. That donklead is usually a flush draw hoping to get there. Also, they usually donk, then call whatever you raise it too. You can raise more on the flop so that you can just put him in on a blank turn.
