I thought it might be interesting to have people post an examination of their own leaks. I'll start:
-I play tight, and I can usually get away from hands. The exception is that I'll go through streaks where big overbets look tempting to me and I find myself calling with a big hand when I know I'm beat. I had this tendency licked for a while, but it's been creeping up lately.
- A leak that is almost fixed but one I'm still monitoring is I think people min bet into me alot because they see my stat line at like 16/7/7 and want to "tap the tiger" to get me to take a shot at the pot. I've had the tendency to bite on these bets alot in the past, then get reraised, and have to fold. Of course it's player dependant to a degree but I'm more aware that people can see me as a target.
- Cbetting too much. This is a leak I just addressed and fixed in the last few weeks, before that I was probably cbetting 95% of flops with air, even with 3 or 4 people in the pot. For some reason this was profitable at $10 and $25 tables, but was pure spew at $50.
That's all I can think of for now. I think moving up levels exposes leaks a bit, as the last one was exposed for me. I'm planning to move up to $100 soon so I'll be interested to see what new ones I discover.
