Currently, parimutuels only allow a max bet of $32 on a single HAND or TOURNAMENT, which maxes out the stakes at $2-$2 for fixed limit and $45 for tournaments.

Of course, the Indian casinos can charge more for tournaments but cannot exceed the $32 rule for cash games. They also cannot spread no limit anywhere in the state.

If they succeed in lifting the $2 max bet restriction on poker, I just may have to turn pro and move to Florida. The players there are quite possibly the fishiest people on the planet. Might be the fact that they have ocean on 3 sides of them?

Actually the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa has these tables called "$2 action tables". Everyone antes $2 pre-flop so you can wager $34 on 1 hand. Every hand is typically capped pre-flop with 8 or more players seeing the flop. Pots are commonly $150-$200, especially on weekends. I think it is going to take a Democrat being our Governor before Class III gaming is approved in Florida.

Off topic to discuss strategy in this thread, but that setup actually makes the loose player's play theoretically correct. They will usually be getting the proper odds to chase/peel with their weak draws.
