FWIW, I was trying to look weak. But looking at it now, I'm thinking maybe a min-raise is better so that he can bluff all-in.

I only saw the hand histories, but it seemed like Villain here was a bit of a maniac/bluffer. Why not just call and let him bluff the turn? I'd probably push the turn assuming he leads pot again.

yeah, I think letting him bluff might have been better. Eithe rby calling to let him bluff the turn or by min raising to let him bluff the flop. at the time, i thought he might make a huge call with ace high or an underpair but in retrospect i think that you are probably right that he is more likely to bet again than he is to make the big call.

is this standard?

The key is that Villain was a pretty loose/wild maniac. You have to look at some previous hands he was in, TPGK is almost certainly good here.

It's not standard to push the flop with top pair. It is standard to be willing to back top pair with 100bb against a maniac who is overbetting the flop.

I'd say the standard line is to check call until he gives you the 100bbs.

I like both calling here and letting him fire again, or minraising to let him bluff. I don't like pushing. Depending on read, if I feel he will slow down to the raise I will just call. If he really is the kind of maniac that will slam you with air or random garbage when you minraise his flop overbet, then by all means.
