I knew if I whored enough casinos I'd run into a horrible problem like this. I just never imagined it'd be one as seemingly trustworthy as Mansion...

Welcome to Chat.Mansion.Com, MANSION Sarah G will be right with you.MANSION

CzarChasm: Hi, I tried to log into Keno just now and it said I couldn't and had to contact customer support

MANSION Sarah G: Hello, may i have your nickname please

CzarChasm: its CzarChasm

MANSION Sarah G: Ok, one moment please

MANSION Sarah G: We regret that we have currently suspended access to MANSION Sportsbook and Casino for US-based Members for business reasons. Due to the new Us legislation change

CzarChasm: nooooooo, i was hpoing you guys would hold out on that

CzarChasm: weve got a problem though, ive squandered about $300 on your $1000 signup bonus so far

MANSION Sarah G: MANSION continues to closely monitor developments which may affect our services to Members globally. We are committed to minimising the affect of these changes on our US-based members both in the immediate and longer terms and ensuring our Members remain well informed. We sincerely hope to reinstate and enhance our product range available to US-based Members in the near future.

CzarChasm: it would be unfair to leave me high and dry on it

MANSION Sarah G: One moment

CzarChasm: maybe we can prorate it for how much ive cleared so far? im alomst halfway done

MANSION Sarah G: i will ask

MANSION Sarah G: As this is out of our hands our Casino Manager has stated that there is nothing we can do about it

CzarChasmno no no, you cant just rob me of $300 when technically ive already earned almost $500

MANSION Sarah G: The new legislation change is out of our hands

CzarChasm: Its out of my hands too

CzarChasm: im not asking to be able to play anymore, im just saying do the right thing about your signup bonus that ive spent days clearing half of

MANSION Sarah G: We are sorry for this but our Casino manager has said that no refunds will be given

CzarChasm: im not asking for a refund, im asking for the half bonus i cleared

CzarChasm: if you wont allow me to finish it, you need to make good on what ive completed, its only right

MANSION Sarah G: Well, no bonuses can be given

CzarChasm: that is bull

MANSION Sarah G: Please email your complaint and i can pass this on for you

CzarChasm: i thought you guys were reputable

Obviously I'm too biased to see it if it actually exists, but... does anyone think they have a leg to stand on here? Am I most likely screwed? I fired off a "threatening" email. I'll keep you all posted >_<

With a slightly less threatening tone, you might have given yourself a better chance of getting some of your bonus.

It is incredibly bad customer service from their side, however. Totally unreasonable.

They reply to emails quickly!

Hello CzarChasm,

Thank you for your email.

Although casino is no long available for US customers you still have the option to finish your bonus playing poker.

We are sorry but it is not possible to either pay your bonus in full or offer you an settlement on it, as it must be completed.

If you have any further queries or require any assistance in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

I hate playing on unpopulated sites with no pokertracker support and I heard this bonus is AGONIZING to grind out in their poker room, so I wrote back saying I suck at poker and that their idea is not possible. I guess it is a potential last resort though >_<

I can tell you right now, playing poker on that site sucks. The game is soft, but the problem is the game is slow, and it's a bitch trying to check hand histories. Hand histories don't show mucked loosing hands either if no river bets were made.

I surprized and disappointed by Mansion's decision not to give you some credit for your casino play (especially since the play-through is very tough for a $1000 deposit).

It's really strange that they can give away a free $100 Soccer bet and a free $1000 football bet (Thank you Mansion, I still love you!) and have great overlays in tournaments, but not yield a little customer service to you.

The play-through on poker will indeed take forever, but it does get released in small parts - maybe they can give you credit in poker for all you've played through and that would release some $ to you?

Good Luck.

Poker will be really tedious to clear. Not enough tables and low clearance rate so even multitabling won't be much use. Either persuade them to change or forget it, sorry to say.

They cutting of the sportsbook to US too? If so, they are not going recoup much for offering the free NFL bet.

It appears they are cutting off the sports BOOK, but not the sports EXCHANGE.

Yeah, that's what it looks like to me.

Poker and the SportsEXCHANGE are open.

Casino and the SportsBOOK are closed.

Very interesting that Mansion is taking the strategy of only cutting off SOME of the gambling for the U.S. clients.

It sounds like Masion is not going to back action against US players but they will continue to provide a means for US players to gamble against each other.

If this works for them, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them put up a "be the dealer" type of casino where players bank against other players with Mansion charging a vig on every hand.

It appears they are cutting off any gambling that puts them "In the business of accepting wagers," while continuing to allow gambling in which they merely "Facilitate peer-to-peer wagers."

Maybe I can get a friend to bet against me in the Sports exchange? Anyone have any idea what rate the bonus clears at that way?

SoCalRugger

Didn't think you could clear it betting sports.

how long have you been working on the bonus? How many hours have you spent?

On and off for a week or two. Spent roughly 40 hours on it doing the Keno grind.

IIRC you gotta roll over your bonus at mansion once credited, so even if they gave you the bonus you'd be SOL since you can't play.

Their gauranteed tourneys usually have overlays, and crappy players, so it's certainly +EV to grind out the bonus. The question is whether you want to keep your $ in there for so long.

I cleared the bonus making $500 roulette bets after I won the sunday 200+15 tourney for $6K, which had a $3500 overlay. I lost $4K playing roulette. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

hate to break it to you, but you brought this on yourself... 40 hours on a single bonus and you're only halfway done? After the legislation you should have been trying to clear it as fast as possible.

Isn't the EV only like $300 now? Your hourly rate is like $4/hr!

I was following Halo7s guide to the letter. $1000 is a LOT of money to me and I was determined to keep my RoR as low as possible. You're right about me slacking though. I could have played a lot more often than I did. I wasn't thinking. I guess I should really get to work on Winward before the same crap happens there.
