Does anyone know if they're going to be running sats for the smaller buy in events, specifically the $1k-$5k?

Foxwoods runs single table cash SnG's, their only satelites are for the 10k event, but if you win a 2nd 10k package you get a 5k NL entry 3k NL entry and 2k in lammers ( or something like that)

I'm pretty sure if you win a second 10k sat you get an entry into the 5k event and the rest in cash. This is what someone told me yesterday in the tournament after he won his second seat. Not sure if this is correct as I didn't see him get payed out.

Edit: Just checked the website. First win gets you the 10k seat. Second win gets you an entry into the 5k event and 5k in cash. Any wins after that gets you 5k cash and 5k tournie lammers.

I'm playing the $600 Omaha hi/lo tourney and will be bringing enough cash to play anything from 5/10 up through 25/50 in Omaha hi/lo or mixed limit cash games.

Also try Cedar Park which is about 2 minutes south of the Hilltop. Nice tempurpedic beds; but the Hilltop is cheaper and prefectly fine.

the Groton 6 Theatre in Groton CT is 14 miles away and takes 25 minutes. The Mystic Villgage 3 theatre is closer at 8 miles away and 17 mintues but has fewer movies. We will have to check at moveietime.

by the way, foxwoods just changed the limits for their NL games. 1-2nl is now a 60min-300max game. 2-5NL is a 200min-500max game. 5-10NL is a 500min-2000max game. 10-25NL is an uncapped 2500min game.

Apparently they are trying to get more 1-2NL players to play the 2-5 but I think the 1-2 games will get much bigger now and they won't get many 1-2 players to move up to 2-5. I have no idea why they didn't change the max for the 2-5 and made the min buyin for that game 100 less.

That's a step up for 5/10 which was just reported to me by one of the poker room managers as being 1500 max. Meh extra 500 but nice since you couldn't reload until your stack was at 700 or 800, something like that.

the max's just went up last saturday so its brand new. also, you could always reload up to the max at any time. i dunno where you got the wait untill you had 700 or 800 from but that was never the case.

It's been awhile for me, but from what I recall, the lower buy-in ones are real crapshoot/shove-fests after just a few levels (usually once it hits 50/100)

Just got in tonight and set up my room, played some 5-10 tonight, the 2k max is such a great game, there was no 10-25 but there was 25-50, no 75-150 games at all either, total bummer

Played the $600 O8 tourney. Mizrachi wound up at my table and busted, didn't appear too interested in the game. Paul Darden showed up short-stacked after that.

Also saw Men "The Master"

Some guy on my right, name was Jon Hoang or something along those lines, he knew Mizrachi and Mizrachi knew him. He had a WPO Tunica bracelet from 2005 and I caught him playing 100-200 O8 later on.

Anyway, he was playing pretty awful cards, but hitting hands (or getting paid off when he did have a real hand)

Blinds are 100-200 with betting at 200-400. I'm down to a stinking 1500 chips. He limps UTG with 2/3/5/9 at a full table.

I have A /images/graemlins/heart.gif A /images/graemlins/club.gif 3 /images/graemlins/club.gif 10 /images/graemlins/heart.gif and raise.

Another guy with A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 2 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 4 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 6 /images/graemlins/spade.gif three-bets and this Jon character calls the two raises (even as he sees me readying to cap the betting)

Flop is K /images/graemlins/club.gif 9 /images/graemlins/club.gif 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif and get the last of my money in. Turn a 3, river a Jack and he sends myself and the other guy packing. F'ing ugh man.

I'll do up a full trip report later, just got back. The cash games are unbelievably juicy, I can't believe how good the mixed games are, so many hold em monkeys with no clue how to play anything else. Friggin' gold mine.

Problem was I had the wife along for the trip, which unfortunately limited my ability to spend 18 hours in the poker room raping the other players of their chips.

Just got back this morning, dead tired and hitting the sack soon. Looking to head-up sometime midweek next week and play more cash games. If anyone already has a room booked and wants to split costs for a night or two, PM me with details.

This tourney had 773 last year. Plus, just because you win an ACT 3, doesn't mean you are registered yet. I won my ACT 3 in Sept, but I didn't register for the 10k until a week ago.

Final table will be held on Thursday. Wednesday is a day off for the final table while the WPT films another of their one-table specials, "Fathers and Sons".
