View Full Version : Slot/Video Poker Restriced Bonuses... +EV?

I see PlanetLuck is offering a 100% to $100 redeposit bonus during October, but it's 12x(B+D) and restricted to slots and video poker...
Is this still +EV? My guess would be that it's slighty +EV, but not enough to be worth the time.

I have been turning down Starluck, Planetluck and Ace Club slot reloads for like a year now, so I sure hope they're aren't very +ev.

I guess I'll try answering my own question....
According to wizardofodds, you can play video poker and get a 99.46% return, so a HE of .54% at $1 bets over 2400 hands.... so a HE of ~$13... so an EV of $87? Does that seem right, or is my math way off?

Nowhere close. I'd guess the VP is the same HA as slots. The "doubling" JoB they have has been "under maintenance" for a couple months now.

And even so, the variance is pretty brutal. You pretty much have to hit the big wins (straight flush and such) over your sample to get anywhere near EV, right?

Not really. Those obviously pay well, but are too rare. Most of the variance (aside from the Royal) comes from how often you get dealt 3oak.
