Response from Rep. Kasper whom I e-mailed a few weeks back. E-mail is obviously not standard due to the few gramatical errors /images/graemlins/tongue.gif.

Hi *****:

Please forgive me for taking so long to answer your nice email. In ND, we are part time politicians and full time citizen/business owners, so I have been busy working in my business.

It was indeed a sad day when a Republican leader--Sen Frist-- ramrodded this garbage piece of Legislation through the US Congress in the dark of Night. I'm ashamed that a Republican would pull this kind of stunt, but there was nothing that I know that could have been done to stop it.

The question is now what? And I don't yet have an answer. I do have a number of attorneys reviewing the Congreesional bill to see if it is still possible to move forward here in ND in January, 2007 when we go back into session here. Waiting for that advice.

In the meantime, you can join the Poker Players Alliance if you have not done so already and encourage all of your friends who feel the same way you do , to also join. additionally, please encourage your friends who feel as you do to email me, so I can continue to build as large a block of supportive emails as possible. Politicians understand numbers.

Please use my office email address of jmkasper@amg-nd.com to respond to me and again thank you for the words of encouragement.

Rep. Jim Kasper
ND House of Representatives

I like this guy. Although I'd like to ask him if he knew what the PPA was up to since he recommends joining.

I like the way this guy thinks. It's too bad that his political influence is limited.

This is the same person that tried to get online gambling legalized in ND, correct?

A politician who happens to be WORKING in business has a seemingly intelligent approach.

Coincidence? I think not.

Damn, that's the most honest type answer ive seen from a politician on any issue. Too bad there are not more real people in washington like that. He probably is the real man politician instead of the fake ones in Washington that wear their flannel shirt in commercials instead of suits.

Probably because as a state legislator he had to write it himself.

What is it with the absurd levels of grammar nittery in this forum? Particularly when someone posts GOOD news?
