Anyone know what FTP's stance is on US accounts now?

Hello [censored],

Thank you for your email.

We at Full Tilt Poker were disheartened to learn about the recent US
Congress and Senate votes to limit and/or restrict Internet gaming.

You can be assured that our pros and proprietors have been doing their
best to speak for all online poker players. In fact, our own pros Howard
Lederer and Chris Ferguson recently went to Washington, DC to share
their opinions representing The Poker Players Alliance and all online
players.

You can do your best to stay informed by visiting
http://www.pokerplayersalliance.org/ and learn about the latest
developments on online poker legislation.

However, we are unable at this time to offer legal advice particular to
your situation; we suggest you contact authorities in your local
jurisdiction for more information in this regard. We are not yet in a
position to provide an opinion on this news, as our senior management
team and legal department have not had the necessary time to fully
evaluate the impact and implications of the legislation. Rest assured
that any funds in your account are safe and will remain so, and we will
continue our efforts to determine the legislation's impact on our
players.

We appreciate your continued support. If you have any further questions
or concerns, please let us know. Thank you for your interest in Full
Tilt Poker, and best of luck at the tables.

Regards,

Jon W

This sounds much more assuring than Prima's "we'll try our best to not take your money" answer - at least as far as the ability to cash out and safety of funds.

I'll be leaving money on here until I hear new info from FT.

I have a K in there as well. I cashed out some but I figure I'd rather have money online somewhere just in case this all blows over but I can't get it back in.

I just got the exact same email from them. obviously just a generic response from them until they get word from their superiors. I have a TON of money in there right now too. /images/graemlins/mad.gif /images/graemlins/confused.gif /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I am drunk and unhappy.

I don't have a great feeling about Full Tilt. With all the U.S. players associated with the site I think it's gonna be hard for them to keep accepting American't players.

FWIW, I have friends who have ownership in FT and one who is even in senior management. I've sent him a couple emails and am waiting for him to reply back with something tangible.

FT has brilliant management and marketing. I've always been convinced they would take over the top spot or 2 in the online poker world. I believe this situation could provide just the opportunity, ironically enough.

Knowing who I do, I actually have a better feeling about them than any others actually.

Let us know the inside word!

I like FT, only problems I see with them are slow deals & non-resizable tables.

Also, if my money disappears from FT, I'll now have a first step in the chain of retribution /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I'd love to share his response, only if he doesn't mind it being made public. I won't share anything confidential. Hopefully he responds quickly and openly though.

FWIW, I did run into him in the airport back in April and he said they really weren't concerned about HR4411 (or whatever bill that was originally). He's actually never been much concerned about legal hurdles, although he might be suffering from head-in-the-sand'edness like a lot of the others.

I'm very interested in what he will say.

IMO, FTP is the easy choice to replace Party and Stars. UB would be up there with them, but their software crashes too often and their CS is some of the worst in the industry.

I don't think I have ever wanted to put more faith in an anonymous internet poster before...I could play at Tilt for the rest of my life if I had to.
