Would it be worth it to tell ESPN to dedicate a Sportscenter segment to this issue? I just looked over ESPN's website, and there's no mention of the online poker ban. With ESPN and online poker's demographic being pretty similar, should we try to get them to spread the word about what's been done? They surely have an interest in it as WSOP brings in a lot of advertising dollars.

ESPN gets more business from it's relationship with the NFL who supports the ban.

Maybe the Travel Channel will be interested.

doesn't have the same demographic. when i informed my buddies of the ban (most are casual players, more live than online) not one of them i had heard about it. all thought it was pretty [censored] stupid. they also happened to be sitting around watching sportscenter.

What about for fantasy? I read the bill and I thought it said fantasy is also part of this, but in some articles it said fantasy was exempt. Thats a lot of money for ESPN. And I don't think the NFL really hooks up ESPN. If anything ESPN has to pay them for the rights to broadcast their games. The money is in advertising.

Travel Channel's ad revenues are not going to look so hot in 2007, relative to 2006. Ouch.
