What will be effect be on publicly traded stocks when the markets open on Monday?

It certainly won't be good. I wouldn't be surprised if the bottom falls out. I'd be sweating if I was one of their stockholders.

I believe there was more surprise in this event than most people in the business expected, and certainly more than the investing public expected. Shares went up on Friday on the news from New York by over 5%.

So expect gaming stocks to drop on Monday. I would expect around 20% off-the-bat.

Overall impact depends upon how much gaming companies withdraw from the US market. Withdrawal of Advertising and Promotion dollars only, one scenario--maybe 35-40%. Blocking US customers is another scenario. The valuations could fall more than 50% over the next nine months.

Effectively the USA punished holders of UK stocks. Kind of like some mini Iraq. What comes around goes around. You can be sure something is going to come and bite USAs economy in the ass soon enough.
