It seems to me that the new legislation would decrease the number of people playing poker online, thus fewer fish. What that would mean, it seems, is that online poker will back to something closer to what it was prior to the poker TV boom. People still played, but less money going around.
Since there would be less money going around, that means competition for that money will be more fierce. The number of pros that could be sustained by the poker economy would drop. There would still be pros, just fewer of them.
As a side note, i really hope poker catches on in a bigger way in Europe and in Australia.
