Party has a team in the UK and Europe. They all have paypal/egold accounts.

Players can make these paypal to paypal transfers. Paypal accounts in Europe then transfer funds to Party account.
When withdrawing, back to paypal account in Europe, which sends it back to player's US account.

Players inc Fish need to keep playing, just like everyone kept drinking back in the 1920's.

This I believe will be the only way to succeed.

Yea well this is why e-bay was for this bill and why everyone's a [censored] hupocritical douchebag. E-bay bought paypal when the original owners were facing too many law suits from the government. E-bay gave the government a lot of money and had paypal give up transferring money to gambling sites and all was fine. Then netteller and firepay came about in the U.K. and the U.S. couldn't stop them becasue they were out of the jurisdiction. Neteller and firepay stole a lot of paypal's business. Therefore e-bay (rememebr it owns paypal) supported this bill against online gambling that would ut a stranglehold on netteller and firepay. Meanwhile paypal Europe (owned by E-Bay) pursued agreements with the largest operating poker sites. So in addition to everything else why don't we go ahead and boycott e-bay and paypal too.

I started playing after PayPal got out of gambling transactions, and have no experience with them. I was a newbie who found Neteller and Firepay quite easily and that was sufficient. Apologies for some very basic questions here.

If I am reading the above posts correctly, PayPal Europe can be used for gaming transactions, and has been all along. Is that correct?

If so, one could open a US PayPal and deposit to a Euro (most likely the UK) PayPal? Reading the PayPalUK website, it says they take any debit or credit card. Would it be possible to fund a UK PayPal using your bank account debit card? Or do they require UK residence?

getting money in for the committed player is easy, but the average american gambler wont go through that

Don't you think that if the FED's tell PayPal "With your European operations, you are providing a loophole - close it or close down" that they would buckle?

Guys, the problem here isn't so much we (avid poker players) being able to play, it's our less skilled opponents (casual players) being able to easily deposit their money on a site and start playing whenever they happen to feel like it.

Haiku, you are correct. But as a newbie starting out 18 months ago, PayPal and credit cards were no longer options for me. PayPal US had stopped processing gaming transactions, and the vast majority of credit cards were refusing them.

Still, as a new player, I had no problem finding Neteller/Firepay and playing.

At this point, Neteller may be on thin ice because the bulk of it's business is gambling related, and there is a risk it could be specifically named in any regulation. So what we are looking for are funding options that A.) do enough non-gambling business to make it difficult (if not foolish) for regulations to target them B.)are preferably located offshore.

E-Gold appears to be one of these, Epassporte may be, the phone card option available at Party appears workable.

Now I am just trying to figure out how/if Euro PayPal could provide a viable, and "fish friendly" funding method.

The days of PayPal were awesome. Call a sportsbook on the phone get the money transferred in 5 min and then use the PayPal Debit card to buy a TV or whatever the heck else you felt like. It was awesome! Everything just started to take an extra day or two once they stopped.
