For anyone interested, I wrote this summary of the bill months ago, right after it was passed by the House.

I have not yet seen the new text, so don't know how much remains relevant.

This article did not extensively discuss possible legal challenges to the bill (such as attempts to distinguish poker from other gambling), as it was intended more as a basic summary.
