i'd probably make a small raise on the turn, otherwise this seems pretty standard

You're never getting his stack here if you don't put more money in on the flop or turn.

It appears that you were hoping he had flopped a big hand as well and would do the betting for you.

On the turn you still had $350 more to get into the pot, and the only way this is happening on the river is if you're opponent has at least 8's full.

Get more money in on the flop or turn plz.

yeah I messed up pretty bad here... if I raised the turn I'd have gotten his stack for sure....he said he layed down K8 FAWK, how many 200nl players are good enough to lay this down...at 100nl not one player I know on stars would even consider it.

I agree with quark re: getting more in on flop and turn. I especially like 3betting flop because:
- Villain's range is pretty well defined here. You're probably stacking an 8, a diamond draw probably won't go away if your 3bet isn't huge. AK/AQ aren't likely, they might stick around (AK much more so than AQ).
- Flat calling his flop raise and then raising his turn bet reeks of a monster.

I never understood why soo many players want to turn into callingstations and slowplay multiple streets when they flop a monster, especially when they have to get 200+bb into the middle, it doesn't go 17, 18, 150 very often

People lie in the chatbox lol. I would say there's about a 0% chance he folded K8 here. He most likely missed his diamonds.

Also like everyone else said raise the turn and your river push becomes more natural.
