I want to make a trip up there but I also want to visit a friend up there beforehand and the logistics look like a nightmare. Does anyone know anything about airports near the casino? How are you getting up there? Anyone want to share a room with me?

Tournaments go from 22nd to the 30th.

Gotta start planning! They're running satellits on paradise and Full Tilt.

Your best bet for airports are either Toronto, Ontario (Pearson International Airport)

or

Buffalo, New York (Buffalo Niagara International Airport)

Hope it helps a bit.

If you fly in to Toronto, you're about 1hr drive from Niagara. Flying in to Buffalo, you're about 30min drive, but you might experience a delay when crossing the border.

Anyone know if there are any smaller prelim events?

Ya, there is going to be a $2500 MTT before the main event, not sure if there are any smaller than that

I live in rochester, and hour away from Buffalo, but went to school in Buffalo for 2 years, and made the trip to niagara falls canada many times. I would recommend flying into Buffalo and driving to Niagara Falls by using the rainbow bridge. If anyone needs exact directions or places to stay or eat I can give them as I am very familiar w/ the area.

By the way if you do fly into Toronto, be careful driving on the QEW, it is crazy there

Went to UB for school also... This is the best way to go... Flights through jetblue are cheap as are car rentals... And its a 20 minute drive from the airport to the border where fallsview is. I was just there 2 weeks ago. Great time up there right now since school just started up again

I hope to go. I was told by another 2p2r that Full Tilt doesn't dish out WPT packages to anyone under 21 so be sure to play elsewhere (if under 21) to SAT your way in.

Will be interesting to see how Fallsview handles this event.

I agree with yvesaint, the games are soft as hell. But watchout for the 10-25 LAGS that donk up the 5-10 when they are waiting for their table to get started.

I've played a little bit of $5/$10 and seen some wacky stuff. The standard raise may be about $80 and some players frequently bet 2-3x the pot after the flop.

There is also an airport south of Hamilton, Ontario which is MUCH closer to Fallsview than Pearson (Toronto). It's a small airport and doesn't have a lot of traffic. Most likely you won't easily connect from the city you are flying from, but if by chance you do, it is another option to consider.
