Hi all,
have been to vegas once before about a year ago which was mainly a poker trip and am now going back for a week with some more friends. This time it will probably be 50/50 between poker and general gambling. The poker side is all fine, however I have some questions about some other aspects of the trip.

Firstly - where to stay?
there are 3 of us going. We are in 2 minds between getting a suite or standard room.
Original plan was for a suite, however haven't been able to get prices for these off places we've been considering (either they've said they're not yet available - we're going in early december - or they've just been generally unhelpful). Kinda place we'd like to stay is mid range strip - NYNY/luxor/etc. Have a bit more money for this trip and wouldn't mind paying for something nice, however would feel the bellagio/wynn/etc are too fancy for our needs. Does anyone have any idea what kinda price I'd be looking at for a suite for a week at one of these places at this time?

If we were to go for a standard room, would it be fine to book it for 2 people and have a 3rd person in there with a sleeping bag? (not ideal, however we're considering all options and we're not gonna be spending a lot of time in the room anyway).

Pit games/comping:
got some idea of this from the previous 'Ask... about...' thread, however would like to check a few things.
basically I'd imagine that over the week we'll probably average about 3-4 hours/day of playing table games with bets ranging between $20-100. Pretty much everything in here - bj, roulette, pai glow, casino war, whatever else we can find and involves gambling. Is this enough to expect to get anything for?

from the previous thread I would have guessed yes - however all the hosts I've contacted via email have been very dismissive and said basically 'get a players card and look for internet offers, bye'.
So any suggestions would be appreciated. Not looking for lots of extras like hookers limo and blow, but if we could get a nice room/suite for us for free or discounted this would obviously be good! is this unreasonable for that level of play?
If we are gonna spend that much time playing pit games in 1 place it would have to be a decent place to play.

thanks for any tips!
