I got distracted by the part that said dealers walked out because they only got $30 an hour instead of $50 an hour.

It is standard practice in all live tournaments for the people who pay out the players to ask if the player would be interested in tipping their dealer. This tradition was eliminated from the WSOP this year...

[/ QUOTE ]

This is total BS. When cashing out this year, they asked if players wanted to leave a tip.

The thing about the dealers getting screwed is true. This dealer who looked like Mase (the rapper) was telling my table how some guy wanted to tip him $500 but Mase told him he would not take it because their tips are pooled. Someone at the table asked Mase why didn't he just go outside with the guy and get the 500. Mase responed: "I'm not shady like that yo". haha.

Why couldn't he take the $500 and add it to the pool?

I was not asked about tipping, and when I asked, the woman cutting my check did not know what to tell me.
