People have referred to roulette as no-risk and sites do not allow it for bonus clearing. I don't get why. Is on-line roulette played different? Betting red and black at the same time is not no-risk. It doesn't change it to a better game than BJ. There must be something I'm missing. Please let me know what I'm not understanding about this. Thanks.

you can bet red black and the zeros. you will lose money but only a few dollars on most bonuses, hence its a no risk profit.

red, black, and green at the same time can make bonus clearing have no risk. EV is much much lower than BJ (and lower than betting on just red, black, or green separately).

The only casino I chased playing roullette was Mansion, and they wouldnt allow the black+red bet. It doesnt change your EV anyway.

I can see how the variance would be different, but expected loss would be the same, wouldn't it.

The key is that by betting Red, Black, and Green in the right ratios you can make variance zero. You'll lose a set amount, but as long as you don't lose the entire bonus it's a zero risk profit.
