View Full Version : Largest Field Defeated in a MTT Win?

Uppercut

What was the largest field you have conquered to win a MTT? Also, what was the buy-in, and how much did you win? I'll go first:

Field: 45
Buy-in: $11
Winnings: $139.50

Let's see anyone top that! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Everlong

Party WSOP Freeroll (Step 1)

Field 3500 - Finsh 1:st
Buy-in: $0
Winnings: $0

I topped it - yet I didn't. Tricky huh?

BTW this belongs in MTT community ?

325 players - $10, absolute WSOP $1,500 Qualifier. Won $812, plus a seat in a $1,500 event.

505 players - $5, UB, ~$800

150 players - $50, Bugsys, ~$2,500

Those are my biggest wins I can come up with.

my biggest field defeated was in a freeroll /images/graemlins/mad.gif

it was in one of the old party freerolls like a year and a half ago. beat ~2400 people for a grand prize of i think $75. shipit.

Field ~ 300, buy in $25, first for $2600 or something.

I've come second three times for more or less the same cash in a $20r rebuy with a slightly bigger field and made more money for first at a higher buy in in a smaller field.

My biggest ever cash by far was for coming 12th in an 800 rider with a huge overlay and a very flat structure, possibly the most loss-making tourney ever held and sadly unlikely ever to be repeated. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

The best I've done 1000+ runners was 22nd busting out in quite the most embarassing fashion in full view of a respected 2+2er.

Bad news: My largest field wins have been 50 plyr tourneys (Party 5tbl tourneys).

Good news: I've won more of those (and 3tbl tourneys) than I can count.

Levels: $6-$55 buy-in (I don't play $6s anymore, but still play all the others due to frequency and preference for 4 tabling).

But I did get 2nd in a freeroll with ~3k people 1.5yrs ago. I haven't had much success at final tabling large MTTs since...although I don't play them all that much.

real money - 11r (what used to be 25k guranteed) for whatever amount that was.

I used to dominate the UB freerolls when I first started playing. I spent like 3 months playing those before playing for real money. I think i've won 3 of those for 2500 people each.

My dad has been playing at least one freeroll a day for the last year. He refuses to listen to any bankroll strategy and has busted his $5-$250 wins many times. Friday night I drunk sweated him in a Party freeroll. 16,500 players...he took fourth. He then proceeded to play the 20K guaranteed on Sat and Sun against my recommendations. He took 43th and then 16th. $0 to over $200 in a matter of days. It will be gone by the end of the week. Either way, I was blown away by the 4/16,500 run...luckbox.

~1800 for a $3 plus rebuys on Stars. Too bad it was a 20% payout that day. We did end up chopping when 3 players left, and I took first after the money chop was taken care of. Over 7 hours to finish.....

My best is 1000 when Inter Poker had $3000 freerolls every saturday around 3 years ago.
