I looked at the Party store and for 69K points , u get a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses which I know retails for about 300 Candian dollars. Since I am in the field, I know that it really costs about 150 CDN dollars for those sunglasses (although Party probably gets them for even cheaper. The new VIP promo gives u about 375 US dollars for 15K points.....so its much better.

It's funny how we try to collect and people complain about not getting moved to silver/gold.......but really those points are almost worthless. I've played almost everyday since Jan at 6max 5/10 and 10/20 2 tables and have earned 80K points of which maybe 20K of it is from deposits and happy hr etc........don't worry too much about the points. I'd much rather have a 100 reload.

Check your math -- you're getting $37.50 for your 15,000 points, not $375. Don't worry though, maybe you'll be able to buy a pair of knock-off Ray-Bans with that money.

0.015 x 15000 = $225

Am I missing something here or are the two posts above me doing something different?

15,000 points * .025 cents per point = $375 ?

Compared to nothing it is better.

However if I play at the same rate as the last VIP promotion I will get about 80% of the same $ in about 250% of the time/hands.

Well it also depends on which promo and what status u are.....with .025 cents per point and Gold status, it's pretty good....

they don't tell you directly that you're a VIP and to epect future offers (most of the time).

The only way they tell you that you're a VIP is by sending you a VIP-offer.

If you got the offer then you are now a VIP. Congratulations. Enjoy.

Wow, Slim, I'm guessing you weren't a Math Major.

It's $0.0025 per point, right? (NOT 0.025, or 2.5 cents. It's 0.25 OF a cent). 0.0025 * 15,000 = $37.5. Pull out the calculator. Or go ahead and try to cash out your Party Points and come back crying to the Internet Bonus Forum /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Addendum: Jack would like to retract this post and apologize to slim for its incorrectedness, as the figure is in fact 0.025, not 0.0025.

Step 1 1,000 Points $.015 per point
Step 2 5,000 Points $.020 per point
Step 3 15,000 Points $.025 per point

Your avatar only adds to the humour....

I am, apparently (fn1). But how does my avatar add to the "humour?" Does my post earn me $500K in lifetime tournament winnings or something?

1. In my defense, in my second round of calculations (to confirm my OP) I was using the 0.025 CENTS figure Reef quoted, all the while thinking there was no way it was that low and that it must be 0.25 Cents.

Frankly I'm shocked that the figure is actually as high as 2.5 Cents per point though; I thought there would be no earthly way it would be that high since that means people were essentially making $25 a pop each time they used the Deposit Trick to get bonus PPPs. That also means I've got several thousand dollars worth of party points in my account. I'd love to talk more but I've got to get 15,000 this month so I can dump these off for something other than beanies /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Reading the promo details would probably be a good idea for you. There are no bonus points during the promotion and you can only cash in points gained during the promo period.

I don't believe this is a VIP promo. There's no chance in hell I'm a VIP (I play about 5 thousand hands a month at a NL small stakes). I'm guessing they're starting to throw around the word VIP, not necessarily meaning that one is in the VIP club.

Apology accepted /images/graemlins/smirk.gif But I think u also don't realise that u can't cash in ALL your existing Party Points at 2.5 cents/point.....u can't cash any of them, only those that u accumulate from now til Oct 15 and there are no more deposit or any other bonuses. So you don't have thousands of doallars worth of PP. Sorry.... /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Wow I am VERY stupid indeed. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'll just STFU in the future in situations where I am too lazy to actually read all of the T&Cs (which is the case with most Party promotions).

Yes, since it's just on points earned during the period, 2.5 cents per point really isn't that great.

Although might be decent for gold-level players at certain levels. But for most players I think it is more 'meh' than profitable.

I have a question:

Is it 0.25/point at 15000 points or is it 0.15/point for points 1001 to 5000 and then 0.20/point fo points 5001 to 14999 and then 0.25/point for points 15000 and beyond?

I think it's 0.015 if u break 1000 pts but less than 5000. once u reach 5K, all ur points are converted to 0.02.........then if u get to 15 K and beyond , all pts are 0.025.
